how to create a signature in photoshop ? Well, it’s too easy.

Here’s the step by step tutorial to create a signature in photoshop.

The signature should look hand written. But how to create a signature that will look like a hand written signature? Well, for that, you have to select the fonts accordingly.

But, the fonts that come with Windws installation or photoshop may not suit your requirement. So you may require downloading additional fonts. Lot of fonts with handwritten looks is available free for download.

The downloaded fonts most often come in “zip” or “rar” formats. After unzipping, you should see a “ttf” font file. You have to paste the file to the folder: -> Control Panel -> Fonts. Once done, it will be available for selection and use in photoshop type tool.

Now open photoshop and open a new document. Keep the details of the document as mentioned below. The parameters are also shown in the snapshot.

Name: Whatever you like. I set it as signature.

Width: 5 Inches

Height: 3 inches

Resolution: 72 pixels/inch

Color mode: RGB, 8 bit

Background contents: Transparent

The picture should look something like the snapshot.

Since the background content property is set as transparent, the picture don’t contain any pixel as of now and that’s why it is seen as grey and white boxes.

Now use text tool to create the signature. Don’t forget to select the font which you have chosen for the signature. Select font size and font color as per your taste.

Once you complete typing, just flip the end portion of the signature. It will look beautiful and give a real hand written signature look.

Now crop the picture. Keep the required portion and remove the unnecessary portion.

Now save the signature in “png” format to your hard drive. Don’t save it in any other format eg. “jpeg” or “gif” etc. This is important in keeping the background transparent nature of the signature. If you save it in jpeg format, the background becomes white automatically.

It is important to keep it in “png” format. Otherwise it will lose its beauty. See the difference of a “png” signature with “jpeg” signature pasted on a pink colored word document.

Your signature is ready for use. You can use it anywhere. You can use it as email signature, in word documents or in web pages, or even in blog posts.

I have used my signature at the end of this post.

Nice ya ???? enjoy !!!!
